‘Amazing Animals’ to be celebrated at Home Farm
A superb collection of exotic animals and birds are all set to light up a popular Leeds farm next week.
Featuring animals and birds from popular attractions and sites across the city, visitors can from Monday 15 August - Friday 19 August, enjoy a range of family fun themed activities and events under one roof at Leeds Home Farm as part of ‘Amazing Animals’.
On offer will include pony rides hosted by Middleton Park Equestrian Centre (Tuesday and Wednesday only-price £2), a drop in pond dipping and minibeast event and a series of special owl and birds of prey flying displays by ‘Owl Adventures’. On each day there will also be a chance to hold and have your picture taken with these majestic animals of the sky. Also available will be an opportunity to hold a reptile at an exotic animal display as part of ‘Jungle Animal Encounters’ and visit a special exhibition showcasing many different animals from all over the world and locally that live in Tropical World, the West Leeds Country Park Visitor Centre in Pudsey Park and Lotherton Hall bird garden. Please note: photograph opportunities with birds of prey and reptiles are priced at £2.
With the daily delights of Temple Newsam Farm also available to visitors, which boasts 400 sheep, poultry goats and pigs, along with an interesting mixture of recreated workshops and exhibitions, ‘Amazing Animals’ is set to offer a great day out for people of all ages.
All of the ‘Amazing Animals’ events are available as part of the general admission price at Home Farm: Adult £3.70 Child £2.40. A family ticket of two adults and three children up to the age of 16 can also be bought for £9.90. All children under the age of five can also visit and enjoy the delights of Home Farm for free.

“We are really looking forward to our ‘Amazing Animals’ event at Home Farm, which along with the daily fantastic offer on the site, will also showcase a range of exotic birds and animals from attractions and sites across the city including Tropical World, Lotherton Hall and the West Leeds Country Park Visitor Centre in Pudsey Park.
“A variety of events and activities will be on offer from pony rides to exotic animal and bird exhibitions and displays, and with the school summer holidays now very much in full swing this promises to be a fantastic way to keep all of the family entertained.”
