Woodlea playground is one of many playgrounds across Leeds that have been updated in 2024.

Woodlea playground has reopened after a significant refresh of the play equipment.

The Woodlea Playground on Stretton Avenue was built at the same time as the surrounding estate around 20 years ago and had not seen any updates since.

The playground now has new cradle swings.

Leeds City Council has overseen the refresh of over 20 playgrounds in the city in 2024, including building a completely new play area at Oak Road Recreation Ground, or Jailey Fields, in Armley.

Holbeck's Recreation View, where homes have already benefited from similar improvements to those planned for the Cedars area of Armley.
