New Christmas market prompts seasonal city centre surge

The arrival of a new Christmas market has sparked a festive footfall boom in Leeds city centre, new figures have revealed. 

Since the launch of the city’s new seasonal market just three weeks ago, the city centre has enjoyed its three busiest days since 2019, with huge spikes in the numbers of people visiting a number of key locations.

Warning issued after a court issues a £5000 fine for out of control dog

Leeds City Council has issued a warning to dog owners, after a woman from Leeds was hit with a £5000 fine, relating to five offences for dog fouling and five offences for not keeping her dog on a lead.
